Seeking to put God’s love into action, Wyoming Valley Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
Wyoming Valley Habitat for Humanity | Building strength, stability and self-reliance through homeownership in Kingston, PA
Wyoming Valley Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization based in Kingston that partners with local families to make homeownership a reality. By building simple, functional homes and selling them at affordable prices, they offer low-income families a chance to build a stronger future. Each home is constructed with the help of dedicated volunteers and through generous donations of labor, land and materials. These efforts ensure affordability without compromising quality.
Empowering Families Through Partnership
Habitat for Humanity selects partner families based on their need for housing, their ability to pay an affordable mortgage and their willingness to actively participate in the program. Homeowners are required to contribute 300 to 500 hours of sweat equity—working on their home or other Habitat projects. This hands-on involvement builds both community and confidence.
Volunteering and Community Support
Volunteers are essential to every stage of Wyoming Valley Habitat’s mission. Whether swinging a hammer, working in the ReStore warehouse or preparing lunches for work crews, community members play a critical role. Donors and volunteers provide the fuel that drives this mission forward, creating lasting change for families across the region.
Wyoming Valley Habitat for Humanity continues to create opportunities for safe, affordable housing through the support of compassionate neighbors in Kingston and beyond.
