The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce is a premier business association in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The Chamber’s mission is to attract, sustain, and grow businesses in the region. This month, learn how you can grow your leadership and professional development through Leadership Lackawanna.

Unlock Your Leadership Potential

Leadership Lackawanna, an affiliate of The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, is dedicated to community leadership and professional development. Leadership’s six programs: Tomorrow’s Leaders Today, Collegiate, Core, Leadership Fundamentals 2.0, Executive, and Welcome Scranton! enhance the skills, connections, and knowledge of emerging and established leaders, enabling them better to serve our communities, workplaces, and organizations.

Leadership Lackawanna is currently accepting applications for three programs: CORE, Welcome Scranton!, and Tomorrow’s Leaders Today. Anyone who lives, works, or plays in Lackawanna County can submit applications. CORE and Welcome Scranton! are for people of all ages. Tomorrow’s Leaders Today is designated for high school juniors.

Core, sponsored by The Honesdale National Bank, is a 10-month program where participants gain leadership, interpersonal, and managerial skills, as well as an enhanced understanding of the issues relevant to the greater Scranton region, through monthly sessions. Areas of focus can include community development, economic development, government, health care, law, education, quality of life, and more.

Welcome Scranton!, sponsored by Geisinger, is a two and half day program designed to give participants a quick but thorough understanding of Scranton and Lackawanna County, along with a revitalized sense of putting leadership into action.

Tomorrow’s Leaders Today (TLT), sponsored by NBT Bank, is a seven-month program that develops the leadership, interpersonal, and managerial skills of high school juniors in Lackawanna and surrounding counties. TLT provides real-world experiences in the areas of health care, STEM, history and heritage, crime and corrections, financial literacy, philanthropy, nonprofit organizations, and community service.

Current sophomores who attend school in Lackawanna, Susquehanna, Monroe, Luzerne, and Wyoming Counties are welcome to apply to TLT. This includes students who attend public, private, parochial, charter, or approved PHAA homeschools.
