Since 2019, America250PA has been utilizing its Direct Effect™ Innovation Challenge (DEIC) to engage with post-secondary institution students from across Pennsylvania.

The DEIC is a three-round marketing challenge that provides students from post-secondary institutions across the Commonwealth with the opportunity to design and pitch integrated marketing campaigns for America250PA. The interdisciplinary student teams build campaigns that engage and inform #EveryPennsylvanian in #EveryCounty.

Over the past five years, the DEIC has engaged over 330 students from over 40 post-secondary institutions across 20 Pennsylvania counties. Ursinus College was the winner of last year’s DEIC, in the theme of “Diverse Stories. Unique Communities. ONE Pennsylvania.”

This year, in partnership with The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, and supported by UGI Utilities, Inc., America250PA will be hosting a Virtual Launch Event for its Sixth Annual DEIC on Monday, September 16 at 10 a.m. to announce this year’s theme with Pennsylvania Department of Education Secretary, Dr. Khalid Mumin.

The 2024 DEIC is also supported by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Pennsylvania Commission for Community College, and Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education.
