Join the Friends of the Bloomsburg Public Library for A Conversation with Hal Pratt and Karen Roszel on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM. This special event reunites two beloved former library staff members—Hal Pratt, longtime Librarian, and Karen Roszel, former Children’s Librarian—who have teamed up once again in retirement to create a series of imaginative children’s novels.
Since publishing their first book together in 2005, the duo has gone on to release eight additional titles since 2018, combining Hal’s storytelling with Karen’s whimsical illustrations. Hal, also known as H.A. Pratt, has authored five adult novels, showcasing his talent across genres.
Attendees will enjoy an engaging discussion about their collaborative creative process, from writing to illustration, followed by a book signing and refreshments. Signed copies of their books will be available for purchase. This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with two gifted storytellers who continue to inspire readers of all ages.
