Community Clothing Swap | Everhart Museum, Scranton

Saturday, December 6, 2025 | 12:00–4:00 PM

The Community Clothing Swap at the Everhart Museum in Scranton takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 12:00 to 4:00 PM as part of the Snow Much Fun Community Day and invites community members to refresh their winter wardrobe through a free clothing exchange. All ages, genders and sizes are welcome, and admission is free, with clothing serving as your currency.

Participants are asked to drop off clean, gently used or new winter-appropriate clothing and accessories ahead of the event during scheduled drop-off times. For each item donated, guests receive a ticket, and during the swap they can browse racks and tables to select new-to-them pieces. At checkout, tickets are exchanged for the chosen items, making it an affordable and sustainable way to update a winter closet.

The Community Clothing Swap focuses on quality donations that someone else will be excited to wear. Items with holes, rips, stains or strong odors will be refused, and attendees are asked not to bring intimates, pajamas, socks or swimwear. Clothing donations are not accepted on the day of the event; advance drop-off is required to participate in the swap.

In addition to the clothing exchange, the Snow Much Fun Community Day at the Everhart Museum features family-friendly activities, arts and crafts, live music and more, along with offerings from local vendors. Any leftover clothing from the swap will be further donated, extending the impact to others in need throughout the community.

For questions about acceptable items, drop-off details or participation, guests can contact Swap Scranton via social media or email.
