Saturday, April 18, 2026 | Time Varies

Earth Day Lake and Shore Cleanup at Beltzville State Park in Lehighton takes place on Saturday, April 18. This annual volunteer event brings together divers and non divers to help clean up the lake and surrounding shoreline while supporting local environmental efforts.

Participants can take part in a variety of activities happening throughout the park. Guests can meet the Academy of Canine Water Rescue, enjoy beach yoga and a guided hike with Friends of Beltzville, or join Atlantis Aquatics and Fishhead Scuba for cleanup efforts on land and in the water.

Certified divers may participate in a special permitted cleanup dive at the beach area. All divers must register in advance, provide certification details, complete required waivers and follow all safety guidelines including buddy diving and proper dive flag use.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring appropriate gear, including scuba equipment for divers and comfortable items like chairs or tarps for relaxing between activities. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided, and restrooms are available on site.

This event offers a meaningful way to give back while enjoying a full day of outdoor activities at Beltzville State Park.
