Full Moon Hike | Salt Springs State Park, Montrose

Sunday, February 1, 2026 | 5:00 PM

Full Moon Hike takes place at Salt Springs State Park in Montrose on Sunday, February 1, 2026, starting at 5:00 PM. Guided by expert hiker Tami Noonan, this winter walk offers a chance to experience the park under the glow of the Full Snow Moon as it rises over the landscape.

The moon reaches peak fullness at 5:09 PM, making the timing ideal for watching the transition from daylight to moonlit trails. A telescope will be available on-site, giving participants an opportunity to take a closer look at the winter night sky.

As this is a cold-weather hike, guests should dress for winter conditions. Snowshoes and ice cleats will be available for those who need them, and participants are encouraged to bring a flashlight.
