GA-20 & Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears | Mauch Chunk Opera House, Jim Thorpe, PA

Friday, October 24, 2025 | 8:00 PM

Two powerhouse acts bring an unforgettable night of raw blues, soul, and rock energy to the Mauch Chunk Opera House on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 8:00 PM.

Since 2018, GA-20 has been leading the charge in a traditional blues revival. The Boston-based trio—Matt Stubbs (guitar), Cody Nilsen (guitar/vocals), and Josh Kiggans (drums)—channels the spirit of blues greats like Howlin’ Wolf, Otis Rush, and Hound Dog Taylor while adding their own fiery immediacy. Known for their old-school sound, vintage instruments, and live-off-the-floor recording style, GA-20 has topped the Billboard Blues charts three times and earned widespread recognition, including multiple Blues Music Awards and Boston Music Awards. Their shows are gritty, soulful, and undeniably alive.

Sharing the bill is Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears, a band that has carved its place in modern soul and garage blues. With roots in the raw traditions of James Brown and Lightnin’ Hopkins, Joe Lewis blends ferocious guitar riffs, gut-bucket blues, and an explosive live presence that has won over audiences for more than a decade. He has shared stages with Sharon Jones, Charles Bradley, The Dirtbombs, and countless others—cementing his reputation as a stone-cold original and a force of authenticity in today’s music scene.

Together, GA-20 and Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears promise a night of electric performances steeped in tradition, sweat, and soul—music that is gritty, real, and meant to be experienced live.
