Georgine Borchick: Pysanky Egg Workshop (Beginner) will take place at the Hazleton Art League in Hazleton on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 5:30 PM. The workshop introduces participants to the traditional Ukrainian art of pysanky egg decorating.

Led by award-winning pysanky artist Georgine Borchick, whose work is represented in the Smithsonian Institution, the class teaches the techniques used to create intricate designs using beeswax and dye. Participants will learn the step-by-step process of applying wax and color to produce decorative patterns on eggs.

The beginner workshop provides a welcoming environment for those new to the art form and offers a unique opportunity to experience an important cultural tradition.
