The 4th Annual Independence Day Charity Event Presented by “Paul and Lisa DeAngelo Family Foundation” will take place on Thursday, July 4 at City View Park (700 S. Poplar Street). The fun filled family event starting with a run at 8:30 am ending with the final band at 5:00 pm.

The fundraising community event will include live music throughout the day, a 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run, family walk, one-mile youth race and fun activities for the entire family! Free live music performances by two NEPA bands “Tori V and the Karma” and “Light Weight” will entertain attendees. Guests will enjoy the DeAngelo Family exotic car and truck display, food trucks, tricky tray raffle, silent auction items and activities for children. There will also be a Cornhole Tournament with a $1,000 prize.

All 10K/ 5K, Family walk, youth race and one-mile 16 and under race, participants will receive a goody bag, race t-shirt and finisher medal. Prizes will be given to overall 5K/10K first place winners and medals will be awarded to the male and female 10K and 5K runners in 20-year age groups.

100% of the proceeds will be donated to support the local Autism Community, Youth Sports, Cancer Research and Disabled Veterans. “We started this event to change kids’ lives and celebrate Independence Day. We look forward to making our 4th annual event an even bigger success. Being involved in causes that help children, cancer research and military veterans is a priority to the entire DeAngelo Family. We are excited to have the community join us for a fun event at City View Park to support and raise funds for so many important causes in our community,” said Paul and Lisa DeAngelo.

For the fourth year in a row, the DeAngelo Family is matching all funds raised from the event. Since its inception in 2021, the Independence Day Charity Event has donated over $300,000 to the community.

11 AM – 1-Mile Family Walk
Noon to 3:30 pm – Cornhole Tournament
9:30AM – 5 PM – DeAngelo Family Exotic Car and Truck Display, Silent Auction including Autographed Sports Memorabilia, Food Trucks, Beverages, Tricky Tray Raffle, Kidz FUNZone with activities for children and Cornhole Tournament.
