In this imaginative stage retelling of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel, four actors invite audiences into an attic where memory and storytelling bring the March sisters’ world to life. Through playful, quick-changing scenes, the performers recreate moments of love, loss, laughter, and the warmth of family that shapes Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy.
At the center is Jo’s journey toward artistic self-discovery and adulthood as she strives to become the writer she longs to be. The sisters’ games and inventions—fairy stories with witches and heroes, and articles for an imaginary newspaper—capture the joy of growing up together, even as life’s harder truths arrive.
As the family changes and grows, Jo’s path is ultimately defined by both imagination and grief, leading her to find her voice and step forward with a deeper understanding of what it means to love and to let go.
