The North Pole Express returns to Bloomsburg Thanksgiving weekend with magical holiday train rides for families on Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30, 2025. Each one-hour ride departs from 480 West 5th Street in Bloomsburg and travels toward Catawissa, offering a festive experience for all ages.
During every ride, guests enjoy Christmas music, seasonal stories, and cheerful visits from holiday characters. On the return trip, Santa boards the train to greet riders and spread holiday joy. Children are welcome to take photos with Santa and enjoy the spirited atmosphere throughout the experience.
Tickets are required for riders ages 12 months and older. Parking is free on-site at the Autoneum lot across from the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds. All food and beverages must be discarded before boarding, and train cars are not handicapped accessible.
This cherished tradition is presented by Downtown Bloomsburg, Inc. and the Bloomsburg Public Library in partnership with the North Shore Railroad Company & Affiliates and the SEDA-COG Joint Rail Authority. Advance tickets are strongly recommended, as rides often sell out.
