The Orwigsburg Festival of Lights at Center Square in Orwigsburg will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 4:30 to 8:00 PM, offering a free evening of music, lights, and holiday fun for all ages. This community celebration transforms downtown into a sparkling winter scene with live entertainment and family-friendly activities.

The night begins at 4:30 PM with a welcome from special guests Elsa and Anna from Frozen, followed by performances from the Blue Mountain Band and Blue Mountain Chorus. At 6:10 PM, the tree-lighting ceremony brightens the square, and Santa arrives by horse-drawn carriage at 6:15 PM. Guests can also enjoy carriage rides, festive food, and local craft vendors.

Two community contests add extra excitement. The Lighted Car Parade & Contest, sponsored by Josh Rex, State Farm, features decorated vehicles parading through town, while the Gingerbread House Decorating Contest, sponsored by the Tara Romig Team, showcases creative holiday designs. Both contests include judging and prize announcements later in the evening.

Orwigsburg, PA —The Orwigsburg Area Business and Professional Association (OABPA) is thrilled to announce the return of one of Schuylkill County’s most cherished holiday traditions - the Orwigsburg Festival of Lights, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. in Center Square.

Free and open to the public, this beloved event transforms the heart of downtown Orwigsburg into a glowing winter wonderland, bringing together families, neighbors, and visitors to celebrate the season with twinkling lights, live entertainment, and joyful holiday spirit.

A Night Full of Festivities

The evening begins with special guests Frozen’ s Elsa and Anna, welcoming children and families at 4:30 p.m. Local performers take the stage throughout the night, including the Blue Mountain Band and Blue Mountain Chorus, filling the air with favorite holiday classics.

At approximately 6:10 p.m., the tree-lighting ceremony will illuminate Center Square, followed by Santa’s grand arrival by horse-drawn carriage at 6:15 p.m. Families can enjoy carriage rides around town, delicious treats from local food and craft vendors, and a variety of activities throughout the evening.
