Pysanky Easter Egg Class takes place at Back Mountain Makery in Dallas on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 3:00 PM, guiding participants through the traditional Ukrainian art of creating a pysanka using wax-resist techniques and layered dyes.
This session features the classic “40 Days of Lent” design, a striking pattern of triangles that wraps around the egg. Participants will learn the history of Ukrainian Easter eggs, along with the symbolism behind traditional colors and the meanings of common motifs. The finished pysanka can be displayed on an egg stand, in a basket, or as part of an Easter egg tree display.
The class is designed for adults ages 17 and older and runs approximately three hours or more. The $50 fee includes all materials needed to create a pysanka, and class size is limited to approximately 5–10 students.
