The Santa Christmas Tree Express on the Stourbridge Line invites families to enjoy a festive two-hour holiday adventure departing from Honesdale. This seasonal favorite combines a scenic train ride, a visit with Santa, and the chance to select the perfect Christmas tree.
Passengers begin their journey aboard heated coaches before traveling along the historic rails to a trackside Christmas venue. Once the train arrives, guests have about one hour to meet Santa, enjoy complimentary hot chocolate, and take part in family-friendly holiday activities. A food vendor will also be available on-site for cash purchases.
Guests may visit Dein Nurseries’ pre-cut Christmas tree lot to choose a tree, wreath, or potted evergreen. Trees are priced individually and sold separately by Dein Nurseries. After selecting a tree, crews will bale, tag, and load it onto the train for the return trip. When the Santa Christmas Tree Express arrives back at the station, staff will unload each tree so families can bring it directly to their vehicles.
