The 27th Annual Santa Train returns on Saturday, December 6, 2025, making festive stops in towns from Carbondale to Scranton throughout the day. This beloved regional tradition brings Santa to each community, offering families the chance to greet him as the train pulls in and enjoy holiday activities at every stop.
The celebration begins in Carbondale at 10:30 a.m., followed by visits in Archbald, Jessup, Olyphant, and Dickson City before concluding at Steamtown in Scranton at 3 p.m. At each stop, guests can take photos, meet Santa, and enjoy seasonal entertainment hosted by local organizations.
Families are encouraged to participate in the spirit of giving by bringing a new, unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots collection, helping make the holidays brighter for children in need. The event is organized in partnership with regional rail, tourism, civic, and community groups and supported by local sponsors who help make the tradition possible.
