Hand Building Basics and Beyond with Sara Daly will take place at the Hazleton Art League in Hazleton on Wednesdays from April 1 through May 20, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This eight-week pottery course welcomes participants of all experience levels.
Beginners will learn foundational hand-building techniques such as slab construction, pinch pots and coil methods while creating functional or sculptural pieces. More advanced students will have the opportunity to explore complex forms and detailed techniques.
The class will also cover surface decoration methods including sgraffito, carving and other finishing techniques. Students are encouraged to bring inspiration photos or project ideas they would like to develop during the course.
The program is open to adults ages 18 and older.
Nonmember Cost: $375 (includes $40 material fee)
