Self-Guided Maple Tour | Multiple Sugarhouses, Northeastern Pennsylvania
Saturday, March 7, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The Northeastern PA Maple Producers Self-Guided Maple Tour takes place at participating sugarhouses across Northeastern Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, inviting visitors to experience maple season up close through a free, family-friendly day of touring and tastings.
Maple syrup has deep roots in North America, originating with Native Americans who discovered how to transform sap into syrup and sugar. With the sugar maple tree (Acer saccharum) native to the Northeast — including Pennsylvania — local maple syrup remains a seasonal tradition worth celebrating.
During this self-guided tour, guests can travel at their own pace, stopping in at sugarhouses to watch the process in action. Visitors will see sap collected and boiled down into rich, golden syrup, take in the woodsy scent of steaming evaporators, and learn how modern producers preserve time-honored methods while refining their craft.
Nine local maple producers are featured this year, with stops spread throughout the region: Nebzydoski’s Maple Farm, Journey’s End Farm, Shemanski Maple Syrup, Augusta Acres Farm, Pocono Mountain Maple, Burke’s Maple Farm, Morning Sun Farm, Dutch Hill Preserves, and Streamside Maple. Visitors can choose to visit one location or make a full day of it by exploring all nine.
