Shiver by the River at 3 West Olive St in Scranton starts on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 10 AM. A second race follows on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 10 AM with the same schedule and course.
Both dates feature 5K, 10K and two mile walk options, welcoming runners and walkers of all experience levels. The course offers a winter friendly challenge and a great way to stay active between races.
Day of registration and packet pickup run from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM for each event date. Pre registered participants can also pick up packets the Friday before each race at Scranton Running Co from 12 PM to 7 PM.
Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K at both races. Additional awards recognize the top male and female finishers in each age group, along with the top overall walker.
Shiver by the River creates a lively community atmosphere across two race days, ideal for training goals or fun winter fitness. Early registration is encouraged for best pricing and to secure race shirts while supplies last.
