Whitewater Dam Release Day takes place at Whitewater Rafting Adventures in Nesquehoning on select dates throughout May, June, July, and August 2026, with trips beginning at 9:00 AM. These special rafting days feature higher river flows that open all three sections of the Lehigh River for an exciting range of rafting experiences.

Participants can choose from multiple trip options depending on their adventure level. The routes include an 8-mile Class I trip for a mild and scenic experience, an 11-mile Class II trip with moderate rapids, or the full 13-mile Class III trip for a more thrilling ride.

Dam release days are among the most popular rafting days of the season, offering bigger water and more excitement on the river. Reservations are recommended to secure a spot on these high-demand adventure days.
