Six Shows, One Spectacular Season with the Broadway Theatre League

Summer is here!  While we are enjoying the warm weather and outdoor events, our Broadway Theatre League team is also beginning theatre ticket renewals for the 2025-2026 Broadway Season. I’m pleased to announce the season to our loyal blog readers here at DiscoverNEPA.

This season, we are proud to present six shows for your enjoyment. Very appropriately, the season kicks off in November with the six wives of Henry VIII telling us which were divorced, beheaded, died; divorced, beheaded, survived in the global musical sensation, SIX. This musical, currently playing on Broadway in New York, features a soundtrack that has been streamed over a billion times worldwide. It promises to be a hot ticket in NEPA.

The Book of Mormon

We follow up SIX in December with the hilarious musical comedy The Book of Mormon. Written by the creators of South Park, this show is quite literally a laugh a minute and continues to wow audiences nightly on Broadway. The New York Times refers to it as “the best musical of this century”. We are especially thrilled to welcome it back to NEPA.

Kinky Boots

In February, we welcome the return of Kinky Boots—the Tony Award winner for Best Musical and recipient of both a Grammy Award and the prestigious Olivier Award in London. Come on now, everybody say YEAH! Kinky Boots tells the story of two people who seemingly have nothing in common, but discover that you can change the world when you change your mind.

Chicago

March finds the return of Chicago—that tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz! A whirlwind of showstopping music and dancing, it remains the longest-running musical still on Broadway. Watch Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart duke it out as they compete for front-page headlines from the Cook County jail. Join us in painting the town with this glorious musical.

Clue

Was it Colonel Mustard in the library with the candlestick? You will find out in April. Based on the classic board game, CLUE is the type of whodunit that delivers an evening of comedy and mystery—one that will keep you guessing until the final reveal. We’re thrilled to bring CLUE to our audiences for the first time, and it promises to be an unforgettable night out to share with family, friends and co-workers.

The Music Man

Finally, we close the season in June in River City with the classic, family-friendly musical Meredith Willson’s The Music Man! This six-time (do you see a pattern here?) Tony Award–winning classic has been thrilling audiences across the country since its recent Broadway revival. Whether you’re a fast-talking Professor Harold Hill or a more demure Marian the Librarian, you’re sure to love this show. I’d normally give it five stars, but in this case, I’ll give it 76 trombones!
