This past Saturday, we had the privilege of attending the premiere of Beyond Dunder Mifflin: The Electric City Documentary at the Scranton Art Haus. Directed and produced by Brandon Soto, the documentary explores the profound impact that the beloved NBC television series The Office has had on Scranton, PA.
Beyond Dunder Mifflin highlights how the show has helped to boost the local community, shedding light on Scranton’s rich cultural history, helping to transform the city from a “Coal Town to a Cool Town.” The film also captures how The Office has fostered a strong sense of connection among both residents and fans from across the country, making it a central part of the identity of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s largest city.
