Capturing the Rhythm of Briggsville: A Weekend at the Briggs Farm Blues Festival
We spent the weekend surrounded by the soul-stirring sights and sounds of the 28th Annual Briggs Farm Blues Festival in Nescopeck, PA. Set on 440 acres of rolling countryside, this family-run farm transforms each July into a vibrant, music-filled retreat where blues fans from near and far come together to celebrate the genre’s rich heritage. What began in 1998 as a grassroots gathering has grown into Pennsylvania’s largest blues festival, drawing thousands with its laid-back vibe, warm hospitality, and world-class performances.
Music poured from two stages throughout the weekend, keeping the rhythm alive from afternoon sunshine to late-night moonlight. The Main Stage buzzed with electric riffs and crowd-roaring energy, while the Back Porch Stage offered a more intimate experience—front-porch picking, storytelling, and raw, emotional sets that brought the blues back to its roots. From gritty Delta grooves to smooth, soulful Americana, every performance resonated with heart.
But it wasn’t just the music that made the weekend unforgettable. It was the shared laughter around campfires, the sway of dancers under the stars, and the quiet, unspoken moments of connection that happened between sets. We captured those moments—of joy, rhythm, and reflection—all framed by the natural beauty and homespun charm of Briggsville.
