Live Music, Local Flavor, and a Full Day Downtown: Celebrate Music in Pittston
Downtown Pittston filled with music over the weekend during Celebrate Music, the city’s newest event spotlighting live bands alongside its growing restaurant and bar scene. From daytime sets to late-night shows, sound drifted from venue to venue, turning the entire downtown into an all-day soundtrack.
Our evening began at Napoli’s Pizza, where Chase Who set the tone with classic rock as dinner conversation unfolded. From there, the crowd flowed through Gramercy Restaurant, The Refinery and Pizza Althea, with live music carrying people from stop to stop as the evening rolled on.
As the evening continued, Bravo Tex-Mex picked up the pace with The Broke Pines. Just down the street at The Joint 53 at Rikasa, Joe Burke and Co. shared the stage alongside Rosary Guild, drawing listeners in for a more intimate music experience.
Later on, the Knights of Columbus filled quickly for performances by Bret Alexander of The Badlees and Mere Mortals. The night ended at The Tomato Bar and Bistro with Proud Monkey, a Dave Matthews tribute band that delivered a high-energy finish to the day.
Celebrate Music showcased how naturally local music and local businesses connect effortlessly in downtown. Take a look at the photo highlights from the day and stay tuned for more events in Pittston.
