Cheers for a Cause: A Recap of Kirby Fest -- an All-Inclusive Event Benefiting Local Children's Arts Programs

On Saturday, April 20th, we captured the fun at the F.M. Kirby Center during their 4th annual fundraising banquet. Kirby Fest, is an all inclusive event featuring local wine, beer, cider, spirits and more food tastings than our bellies could handle.

Throughout the night, local musician’s occupied the lobby’s top balcony while Alan Mclaughlin, known for his distinctive depictions of celebrities, finger painted a lively portrait of Johnny Cash near the main stage.

The event also included a silent auction featuring works by local artists as well as signed memorabilia from notable past Kirby performers.

All proceeds collected from Kirby Fest help fund the center’s community outreach initiatives as well as children’s programming, providing local children a chance to experience the performing arts free of charge.

If you’d like to show your support for the performing arts in our region, be sure to visit the F.M. Kirby Center for more information.
