Montage Mountain Hosts the Northeast Special Olympics 2024 Polar Plunge
This past weekend we headed up to Montage Mountain as they hosted The Special Olympics’ Northeast Polar Plunge. And while some people find 40 degrees and sunny rather pleasurable, it was certainly no day for a swim. However, plenty of participants including Penn State Football captain, Dominic DeLuca, joined in the fun and helped raise funds and awareness for the PA Special Olympics.
Throughout the day, participants showed support by watching their friends and family take the plunge while enjoying food and entertainment at “Plungetown”. Individuals who were “too chicken to plunge” (I totally get it) were still able to show their support by donating a one-time fee and dressing up like a chicken. And in case you are wondering, the answer is yes, they did at one point dance the chicken dance.
Overall the event was a great success and we were more than excited to have been there to capture the fun. Check out some of our highlights below!
