Celebrating the History and Art of Delaware Water Gap

Explore the rich history of Delaware Water Gap at the Antoine Dutot Museum and Gallery. Located in a schoolhouse from 1850, it is home to a collection of local artifacts.

The museum covers Delaware Water Gap’s history from its early settlers through the twentieth century. The exhibits feature relics from the town’s Victorian resorts, back when it was booming vacation destination. In fact, Delaware Water Gap was one of the top inland tourist destinations from 1880-1930, second only to Saratoga Springs.

Other exhibits include a historic classroom that will give you a glimpse into the lives of students in the 1920s. The art gallery showcases works by regional artists.

The Antoine Dutot Museum and Gallery is open on weekends from Memorial Day to Columbus Day.
