Bear Creek Environmental Area & Dr. James S. Shadle Nature Center in Schuylkill Haven, PA offers a scenic blend of outdoor exploration and environmental education. The environmental area features approximately two miles of interpretive trails that highlight a variety of natural habitats. The trail system is designed for casual walks and educational outings.
The Dr. James S. Shadle Nature Center adds an indoor component to the experience. The center includes exhibits focused on local wildlife, geology and natural history. It is open to the public during fair week and available by appointment throughout the year.
