Hanover Crossings Marsh | Wetlands, forests & meadows in Hanover Township

Hanover Crossings Marsh in Hanover Township is a 40-acre nature preserve owned and protected by the North Branch Land Trust. Once part of the Hanover Industrial Park Complex, the land was restored and transferred to the Trust in 2010 to preserve its vital wetland ecosystem. Today, the sanctuary offers a peaceful natural retreat conveniently located near local neighborhoods and highways.

A Sanctuary for Wildlife & Nature Lovers

The centerpiece of the preserve is a 15-acre marsh teeming with diverse plant and animal life. The remaining land features hardwood and conifer forests along with open meadows, creating a mosaic of habitats ideal for birdwatching, wildlife photography, and outdoor exploration. Visitors can often spot songbirds, amphibians, and wetland species thriving in this protected ecosystem.

Hanover Crossings Marsh is open to the public year-round. Access the preserve via Spencer Lane, where the best marsh views can be found near Main Street. A small unmarked trail connects Allenberry Drive to Robinson Circle through a wooded section of the property. North Branch Land Trust continues to improve access and trail opportunities, ensuring this sanctuary remains a haven for both wildlife and visitors.
