Scenic Hikes for Every Ability
With nine miles of hiking trails, Hawk Mountain offers paths for all ages and abilities. Short hikes like the ADA-accessible Silhouette Trail lead to the South Lookout, a stroller- and wheelchair-friendly trail that ends in a sweeping view that’s easy to access. For a more rugged adventure, try the Golden Eagle Trail or the River of Rocks Trail, where you’ll pass dramatic boulder fields and climb to panoramic viewpoints. The North Lookout is especially popular for its short hike with an epic 70-mile view—a favorite during the fall foliage season and spring bloom.
Spring Blooms & Summer Camps

Visitor Information & Accessibility
Open year-round, Hawk Mountain offers guided tours, lectures, and educational exhibits at the Visitor Center. The ADA accessible Silhouette Trail leads to the South Lookout and includes a trailside exhibit. It is 900 feet long with a crushed stone surface and a grade that does not exceed 8.3%. Bench seating with pull bars are located every 100 feet. ADA-accessible parking, restrooms, and van spaces make the sanctuary welcoming to all visitors.
