Your Home for the Creative Arts
The Hazleton Art League fosters and promotes the arts through education, exhibitions and cultural events for the benefit and enrichment of the Greater Hazleton Area community for over 75 years.
Their art gallery displays new local artwork every month. They also teach art classes for kids, teens, and adults. Programs include mediums like drawing, painting, photography, stained glass, jewelry making, pottery, pysanky art, and more.
The Hazleton Art League is located at the Hayden Family Center for the Arts. The facility features gallery space, a computer lab, a digital arts studio, a pottery studio, a stained glass studio, large studios for drawing and painting labs, a kid’s classroom, a culinary kitchen and an outdoor art park.
They continue to host and provide exhibition space for artists, musical performances, and open studio time. Hazleton Art League hosts cultural events like the annual Art Youth Expo and Peace, Love & Chalk, an annual chalk art festival.
They work with local entities that include the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce, The Hazleton Area Public Library, the Pennsylvania Theater for the Performing Arts, Penn State Hazleton, Immanuel Christian School, and many other local creative and community-based organizations.
