Hazleton Art League: Hazleton’s Home for the Creative Arts

Located at the Hayden Family Center for the Arts, the Hazleton Art League has been enriching the Greater Hazleton Area through the arts for over 75 years. This vibrant nonprofit serves as a creative hub for artists of all ages and experience levels, offering year-round opportunities to explore, learn, and connect through the arts.

Exhibitions & Cultural Events

The on-site gallery showcases new local artwork monthly, featuring emerging and established artists. The Hazleton Art League also hosts cultural events and community favorites like the Art Youth Expo and Peace, Love & Chalk, an annual sidewalk chalk art festival that draws artists and spectators from throughout the region. Live music performances, artist receptions, and community collaborations round out a packed calendar of creative happenings.

Workshops, Classes & Camps

The League offers workshops and art classes for kids, teens, and adults. Learn and grow in a variety of mediums including painting, drawing, stained glass, pottery, photography, jewelry making, pysanky, digital art, and more. Summer art camps are popular with young creatives and include themed sessions led by professional artists. With programs available for beginners through advanced students, the League is an ideal place to explore a new hobby or refine your artistic skills.

The state-of-the-art facility includes multiple studios for hands-on learning, a computer lab, a culinary kitchen, and an outdoor art park. It’s a popular Hazleton hangout for artists, students, and anyone looking for a welcoming, creative environment.
