Rohman’s Pub | Historic bar, bowling & stories in Shohola

Rohman’s Pub has been pouring drinks, serving food and making history in Shohola, PA since 1849. This landmark neighborhood bar in the Pocono Mountains has seen it all—from Civil War chaos to Prohibition raids to celebrity visits from names like Babe Ruth, Gloria Swanson and Charles Lindbergh. Step inside and you’ll find an unpolished, no-frills atmosphere full of character, with a hand-carved bar, old-school cocktails and walls lined with stories.

The drinks are classic and the energy is laid-back. Rohman’s is best known for its freshly squeezed screwdrivers, house Bloody Marys and cold beer served with a side of local history. Their casual bar menu offers apps, burgers and platters, with an expanded dining room menu during the summer and fall. The space is welcoming and familiar, built for both regulars and first-timers who want a drink with a little Shohola legend.

One of the bar’s most unique features is its second-floor, four-lane bowling alley. Built in the 1940s, it still uses manual pin setting. You can reserve a lane or book the entire alley for an hour of vintage fun. Rohman’s also hosts karaoke, live music and the annual Men’s Winter Olympics—an all-day event featuring challenges like the crowd-favorite keg toss.

Rohman’s Pub is more than a bar—it’s a living museum of Pennsylvania bar culture, right in Shohola, PA.
