Spruce Swamp Natural Area in Thornhurst spans roughly 3,320 acres of protected land within Pinchot State Forest. This unique glacial bog ecosystem is dominated by native spruce, balsam fir, and tamarack, making it one of the most distinct natural landscapes in the Pocono Mountains.
