A Small Preserve on a Mission

This quiet stretch of land is home to some of the Poconos’ most ancient forests. Thanks to a collaboration between the Pocono Heritage Land Trust and the Brodhead Chapter of Trout Unlimited, efforts are underway to enhance trout habitats along this portion of Pocono Creek.

Visitors can reach the preserve via a small parking area on Old Mill Road, located behind CVS and Weis plaza in Tannersville. Additional parking is available at the former NCC lot, located across the bridge. Hunting, furtaking and trapping are strictly prohibited on this property.

Fishing is permitted but is limited to special regulation waters, requiring artificial lures and catch-and-release practices. This initiative is part of a broader restoration effort to revitalize the creek and reintroduce trout to its waters.
