Underwood Skatepark in Taylor—also known as “The Wood”—is Greater Scranton’s premier indoor skatepark and a longtime favorite in the local skate scene. The 6,700-square-foot facility features wall-to-wall wooden terrain, a real street section, and a layout packed with features for all styles and skill levels. Skateboarders, BMX riders, rollerbladers, and scooter users will find everything from two 10-foot banks with a big quarter pipe in between to hubbas, ledges, kinks, and wall rides.
This pay-to-skate indoor park includes multiple funboxes—one with a kicker and the other with a rail and kink—plus a wavy quarter pipe, bank to vert wall ride, and a 4-set with docks and small quarters. A separate beginner section includes a scaled-down box and quarter pipe combo that gives new riders space to learn. The indoor setting means year-round access, and the on-site pro shop adds convenience for gear upgrades and parts.
Helmets are required, and while the mini ramp is being rebuilt, riders still have access to a wide range of features and creative lines. The environment is clean, organized, and supportive, with moderate crowd levels and a loyal rider base.
