Fresh Tracks and Scenic Slopes
In Northeastern Pennsylvania, seven ski resorts promise to turn your winter blues into unforgettable adventures. Earlier this month, we set our sights on Elk Mountain Ski Resort. Nestled in the heart of the Endless Mountains, Elk Mountain is renowned for its challenging terrain, scenic beauty and top-notch facilities.
Our day began on the East and West slopes, which are perfect for skiers of all levels. With a summit elevation of 2,693 feet and a vertical drop of 1,000 feet, Elk Mountain boasts 27 expertly groomed trails and slopes ranging from beginner-friendly greens to adrenaline-pumping black diamonds. Susquehanna, one of the longest trails, provided a thrilling descent and breathtaking views.
After working up an appetite, we made our way to the Winter Garden inside the cozy lodge. This inviting space offers delicious comfort food crafted with fresh ingredients. From hearty soups to satisfying sandwiches, the menu does not disappoint.
We left the mountain with our appetite for adventure fully satisfied and a renewed appreciation for winter fun. Check out some of the highlights from our day below and start planning your trip to Elk Mountain this season.
