Every fall, “The Sweetest Place on Earth” transforms into a Halloween wonderland with thrills, treats, and plenty of spooky surprises. Hersheypark Halloween has something for everyone in the family. Open on weekends from September 12 through November 2, all this spooky fun is included with your Hersheypark ticket.

Guests can trick-or-treat their way through Treatville, enjoy Halloween-themed rides like the Shaq-A-Licious Laff Trakk, and even help crown a Monster of the Year at the Shake, Rattle & Glow: Monster Ball. The ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park also stays open late on weekends for its special nighttime program, giving visitors a chance to see nocturnal animals up close. And of course, Hersheypark’s iconic coasters run all day, some even in complete darkness for a one-of-a-kind experience.

Dark Nights at Hersheypark Halloween

As evening falls, the park grows darker and eerier. Dark Nights™ is back and scarier than ever, running every Friday through Sunday after 6 PM. With five haunted houses, four immersive scare zones, and all-new terrors like the Kill ’N Fill haunted house, Dark Nights is designed for true thrill seekers. Combined with 14 epic coasters, scare zones blanketed in fog, and eerie live entertainment, it’s one of the biggest Halloween events in Pennsylvania.

Classic Thrills & Family Fun

Hersheypark Halloween isn’t just about the scares—it’s also about family-friendly fun. From more than 50 rides to kid-sized thrills, carnival games, and costumed Hershey characters, there’s something for every age. Families can explore Treatville’s sweet stops, enjoy seasonal snacks, or take a relaxing ride on the Monorail to spot animals in ZooAmerica after dark. The 12 and under crowd can also enjoy Treatville, Hersheypark’s popular trick-or-treat trail. Trick-or-treaters can load up on candy at 13 sweet stops along the trail.

Tasty Fall Treats & Chocolatetown

During the Halloween season, look for new, seasonally-inspired treats throughout the park. Get your fall fix with Pumpkin King Size Shakes, Pumpkin Donuts and Pumpkin Pie Funnel Cake Sundaes. And keep your eye out for S’mores station! The cold weather classic features Hershey’s Milk Chocolate, warm, gooey marshmallows in a crunchy graham cracker sandwich. With nearly 80 quick stop dining options throughout the park, finding that hot dog, sandwich, pizza, ice cream, popcorn fix is as easy as pie.

Before you leave, be sure to visit the popular Hersheypark region Chocolatetown. You may have guessed it… this place is all about chocolate. This part of the park takes that love of sweets to a whole new level. Sit down for a bite and a beer at the full-service Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio. The spacious eatery features a wide-ranging menu of classic family fare, signature cocktails and desserts and a kid’s menu. From there, head over to Milton’s Ice Cream Parlor for house-made creations featuring all the Hershey candy toppings you’ll ever need. And don’t forget a little something for the road. Swing by The Sweeterie Confectionery Kitchen for hand-crafted treats and desserts.
