A Family-Owned Farm Transforms into a Christmas Wonderland
No matter where you are in Northeastern Pennsylvania, December is all about those extraordinary holiday lights. Whether you’re walking through or enjoying the holiday magic from the comfort of the car, few attractions inspire the spirit of the season like an evening at a local light display.
And if you’re looking to load up the car and start a new family holiday tradition, we’ve got a unique day trip for you. Koziar’s Christmas Village in Berks County is a holiday season must-see.

One of Pennsylvania’s most-visited holiday attractions
Throughout the year, Koziar’s Christmas Village is a retired, 285-acre dairy farm with rolling meadows, a small pond, a farmhouse and a few out buildings. And by Thanksgiving, this little farm in western Berks County transforms into the North Pole.
For many, Koziar’s Christmas Village represents a visit to a simpler, easier time. The soft glow of over a million twinkling lights creates a nostalgia-filled warmth. And the sight of vintage blow molds and hand-crafted decorations brings you right back to the holidays of your youth.

77 Years of classic holiday fun
In 1948, William Koziar decided to adorn the family farmhouse in twinkling holiday string lights. At the time, the family reveled in the festive glow as it shimmered across the glass surface of the pond. Soon enough, neighbors came investigating the odd glow just beyond the hill. And, before they knew it, the Koziar’s had cars slowing down and even parking on the road. Initially, everyone in town just called it “the Christmas House.”
As word spread, the Koziar’s realized they had the beginnings of a legitimate tourist attraction on their hands. And, every season it grew and grew. In 2025, the family celebrates their 78th season of bringing Christmas cheer to thousands of visitors from all over the world.

Twinkling Lights, Nostalgic Decor and So Much More
The walk-through attraction features over a million lights, unique, themed displays, working, vintage train sets, the famous kissing bridge and more. Along the self-guided tour, you’ll find 11 indoor displays. Popular stops include Santa’s Post Office, The Old-Fashioned Bake Shop and the classic manger scene. You can even get a glimpse of Christmas scenes from around the world.
With everything from a country kitchen featuring fresh-baked cookies to Santa’s Toy Shoppe, there’s no shortage of treats and stocking stuffers to take home. And don’t miss the most popular attraction. The massive, handmade train platform with tunnels, trestles and so much more delights visitors of all ages. Of course, if you’re looking for those Christmas card photo-ops, Santa and his helpers are never far away.
