Showing the Love for Downtown Scranton Businesses this Winter!
Winter is a season full of moments worth celebrating, from Valentine’s Day to birthdays and anniversaries. In February, we’re encouraging everyone in the community to #lovelocal to mark those special occasions.
“Winter doesn’t slow us down in Scranton,” said Liz Baldi, business development director at Scranton Tomorrow. “Once again, the community embraced our signature winter project, Downtown on Ice, earlier this month. Now we’re ready to launch our #lovelocal campaign in February to keep the support local momentum rolling through spring.”
When you support local, you’re giving twice ― once to someone you love and again to your community. Here are few ways to do just that in Downtown Scranton:
1. Give an experience gift. Treat someone you love to a night on the town in the Electric City! Dinner at a downtown restaurant and tickets to a Broadway show, live concert or movie makes a memorable gift for friends, family and loved ones.
2. Indulge in something sweet. Think outside of the traditional candy box this year! Give pastries and specialty desserts from a Downtown Scranton bakery, made with love by a local baker.
3. One-of-a-kind finds. For gifts as unique as your loved ones, shop Downtown Scranton boutiques this winter. From jewelry and watches to clothing, accessories, books, art and home décor, downtown business owners are ready to help you select the perfect gift for your special someone.
4. Give the gift of pampering. From hair and nail services to massages and facials, Scranton’s salons and day spas offer everything your special someone may need to look and feel their best this winter. Treat them to a gift card or fill a gift bag with specialty products they’ll appreciate and use every day.
