RailRiders Kick Off Season with a Sunny Victory at PNC Field
We stopped by PNC field yesterday as the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders treated fans to a perfect day of baseball under the warm, sunny skies. Facing off against the Syracuse Mets, the RailRiders claimed a 7-2 victory after overcoming three scoreless innings.
Sunday’s win along with the high energy from the crowd is sure to provide a boost of confidence for the team as they prepare to hit the road.
Next stop for the RailRiders is a six-game series against the Norfolk Tides, the Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. The team will then head back home to Moosic, for another six-game series against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs starting April 16th.
When it comes to baseball, it doesn’t get much better than yesterday’s experience. From the ideal weather to The RailRiders victory, we are happy to say that the baseball season is now officially underway.
