RailRiders Keep the Wins Coming Against the Syracuse Mets With a Big Night at PNC Field
We spent Saturday night at PNC Field as the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders continued their hot streak with a 5-1 win over the Syracuse Mets. After giving up a run in the first inning, the RailRiders locked in and held Syracuse scoreless the rest of the game marking their sixth straight victory and their second consecutive series win.
Meanwhile, fans packed the stadium for Amazing Golf Ball Whacker Night, a celebration of the classic movie Happy Gilmore. Special guest Christopher McDonald, who played Shooter McGavin, made an appearance, and the first 1,500 fans took home a custom SWB bobblehead to mark the occasion.
Between the cheers, the themed fun, and the summer night sky, it was one of those games that reminds you why RailRiders baseball season is the best time of year. From the first pitch to the final out, the night had all the right ingredients for a memorable experience at PNC Field.
