Ale Mary’s Reopens Under Settlers Hospitality with the Return of Madame Jenny’s
Last night, Scranton celebrated the grand re-opening of Ale Mary’s at the Bittenbender, now under the ownership of Settlers Hospitality. The event brought out Scranton dignitaries including Mayor Paige Cognetti, representatives from the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, and members of Settlers Hospitality.
The Bittenbender has long been a favorite spot for locals, and with Settlers Hospitality at the helm, Ale Mary’s is set for a new chapter of food, drinks, and entertainment in Scranton. Known for creating memorable dining and nightlife experiences at properties like The Settlers Inn, Glass – wine.bar.kitchen, and Silver Birches, the group is bringing the same energy and attention to detail to Ale Mary’s.
As part of the reopening, guests also welcomed back Madame Jenny’s, the once-popular Prohibition-style speakeasy hidden inside the Bittenbender. Closed since 2024, the space has been carefully restored to its vintage, 1920s glory. With its glamorous Jazz Age vibe, Madame Jenny’s is ready to add a touch of elegance back to Scranton’s nightlife.
Starting October 31, Madame Jenny’s will feature regular live entertainment with jazz, blues, rock, and themed performances. Guests can sip craft cocktails and enjoy light bites during shows. The first performance kicks off with Spooky Burlesque featuring NYC’s Red Velvet Burlesque, and tickets are available now.
