Mom & Daughter Summer Pizza Night Tradition Combines Live Music, Friends & Dancing
Discovering weekend fun in Old Forge.
As I have gotten older, I began to think it was fun hanging out with my mom and her friends on the weekends. On Saturday nights, my mom and I always go to Revello’s in Old Forge with her friends Kim and Gail. Revello’s, a great family-owned business, has become popular for hosting local bands under a tent outside of the restaurant. Of course, they’re also renowned for their famous Old Forge style pizza and authentic Italian food. On top of that, Revello’s always has great service along with an amazing menu that offers a variety of lunch and dinner selections for both adults and kids.
Continuing a cherished tradition dating back to the 7th grade.
Revello’s is also a popular place for both Riverside and Old Forge high school students to go after Friday night football games. Every Friday, the parking lots are full and the restaurant is jammed with people looking to unwind. It’s kind of a local tradition. My friends and I have been Friday night Revello’s regulars since seventh grade in 2017. That’s when all our fond Revello’s memories began.
In the summer of 2021, thanks to some of my mom’s friends, we discovered that Revello’s also features live, local music on weekends. And, from then on, a new tradition began.
During summer and fall weekends, Revello’s transforms their tented, outdoor space into a festive live music venue. Whether you like modern or classic rock & roll, pop music, R&B or even jazz, there’s always something for everyone. And, of course, there’s that little added bonus that you also get to enjoy some of the best Old Forge pizza around. When colder weather hits, they keep the tent warm with space heaters. And by November, they usually move the live music party indoors.
