An Easy Hike With a Big Payoff

Take in the views at Shohola Falls, which is located in State Game Lands 180. The pristine, roaring waters of Shohola Creek flow over tiers of rocky ledges at this magnificent Pike County waterfall.

There are two ways to view Shohola Falls. From the western side, park at the State Game Lands lot off of Route 6, and take the short trail past the lake and dam. This path will lead you to the lower end of the falls. From the eastern side, park at the lot off of Brooks Road. Take a short walk through the forest, and you’ll reach an overlook at the top of the falls. Check out the State Game Lands map for parking locations.

Both trails are less than a mile long and are easy enough for kids.
