The Luzerne County Child Advocacy Center is committed to the protection of all children who have become victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect. The center strives to create a child friendly, safe environment to conduct joint interviews and investigations, along with a comfortable setting for medical examinations and a base of staff support.

The Luzerne County Child Advocacy Center (LCCAC) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2014 that provides critical support to children who have experienced abuse and neglect throughout Luzerne County. With a child-centered approach, the center delivers trauma-informed services in a safe, welcoming environment—serving victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, drug endangerment, human trafficking, and other serious crimes. LCCAC works to protect, advocate for & heal children while guiding families through some of their most difficult moments.
Comprehensive, Coordinated Care for Child Victims
LCCAC provides a wide range of free services designed to reduce trauma and support healing. These include forensic interviews, medical evaluations, and family advocacy—all conducted in a child-friendly space that encourages comfort and trust. By bringing together law enforcement, child protective services, medical professionals, prosecutors & advocates under one roof, the center reduces the number of times a child must recount their experience and ensures a collaborative, compassionate response.

The organization is committed to minimizing the emotional toll of investigations and examinations while ensuring offenders are held accountable. With culturally sensitive services, holistic family support and skilled staff, LCCAC empowers children and caregivers every step of the way. Since its founding, the center has helped over 5,000 children—providing safety, hope & healing when it’s needed most.
