Escape to Egypt Meadow Lake

The 48-acre Egypt Meadow Lake, found within the Delaware State Forest in Greentown, is a popular spot for both fishing and hiking. The lake is well-stocked with bass, bullheads, and panfish, making it a favorite among anglers. The trail encircling the lake offers a serene and picturesque setting, perfect for hiking and leisurely walks. Note that access to the lake is walk-in only; it’s about a ½-mile trek along the trail to reach it.

To get to the lake, take I-84 south to S.R. 390. Drive approximately 100 yards to the first yellow pipe gate on the east side of the road, where you’ll find a parking lot.
