Dallas Lions Club | Decades of Service in Dallas
Located in Dallas, the Dallas Lions Club is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to uplifting the Back Mountain community. Since its founding in 1950, the organization has embraced the Lions Club International motto, “We Serve,” and continues to support neighbors through charitable giving, hands-on projects, and long-standing community partnerships.
The Dallas Lions Club provides meaningful assistance to the Dallas community through donations, volunteerism, and outreach. Their work benefits a wide range of local organizations, including Northeast Sight Services, Back Mountain Memorial Library, Back Mountain Food Bank, youth sports programs, veteran groups, and many more. The club also supports ongoing vision-related initiatives such as eyeglass recycling, ensuring access to vital services for those in need.
They continue to expand their impact by partnering with additional community programs including Misericordia University, Dinners for Kids, Patriots Cove, the Women with Children Program, Fellowship Church Food Pantry, Back Mountain Little League, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and Back Mountain Regional Fire & EMS.
Fundraisers That Give Back
Signature fundraisers help fuel the Dallas Lions Club’s mission. Annual events such as A Night at the Races, a booth at the Luzerne County Fair, a community golf tournament, and bell-ringing for The Salvation Army allow members to raise essential funds for local causes.
