Meals on Wheels Wyoming Valley | Nutrition, independence & daily connection in Wilkes-Barre
Meals on Wheels Wyoming Valley is a nonprofit organization delivering nutritious, low-cost meals to seniors and homebound individuals in Wilkes-Barre, PA and nearby communities. Committed to promoting health and independence, the program serves anyone in need, regardless of age or income, ensuring that no one in the region goes without daily nourishment.
Meals That Support Health & Wellbeing
Each weekday, more than 100 clients receive both a cold lunch and a hot dinner. These meals are carefully prepared to meet dietary needs and provide consistent nutrition that helps older adults remain healthy and independent in their homes.
More Than Just a Meal
Beyond delivering food, the organization offers daily wellness check-ins. Volunteers provide a friendly face and a moment of human connection, helping to reduce isolation and provide peace of mind to clients and their families.
Volunteer-Driven Community Service
Meals are packed each morning by volunteers at Church of Christ Uniting in Kingston and then delivered throughout the Wyoming Valley. This hands-on community effort ensures that meals and care reach every corner of the service area.
Meals on Wheels Wyoming Valley continues to support independence, dignity, and health for vulnerable residents across the Wilkes-Barre region.
