Mission Statement
The mission of the Wyoming County Cultural Center/The Dietrich Theater is to serve as a nonprofit movie theater and cultural center, making arts, education, and entertainment accessible to all in Wyoming County and Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Wyoming County Cultural Center at the Dietrich Theater is a nonprofit movie theater and cultural center located in the heart of Tunkhannock. First opened in 1937, this historic theater is open 365 days a year and features first-run, mainstream movies; seasonal foreign and independent film festivals; classes; exhibits; concerts and presentations for all ages.
In a typical year, the Dietrich Theater provides 350 classes, films and events to over 70,000 children and adults. Many of the classes and events are offered free of charge to allow all members of the community to take part in programs at the Dietrich. Need-based scholarships for classes are available for children as well.
