The Wyoming County Historical Society, a nonprofit organization located in Tunkhannock, PA, is dedicated to preserving the rich history of Wyoming County and making it accessible to the public through research resources, exhibits, and community events in the Endless Mountains. The society’s research library offers an impressive collection of historical materials for public use. The archive includes books on New England ancestry, census records for Wyoming and neighboring counties from 1790 to 1930, and newspapers dating back to 1797. Visitors can also access records for more than 90 area cemeteries and a wide range of documents that shed light on family histories and local events.
